Chef Vicky Ratnani – celebrity chef & award-winning author
“I have been privileged enough to dedicate my life to something I love – food. There is nothing more rewarding than seeing the happiness a good meal provides. I have found that reducing wastage of food goes a long way towards feeding the hungry. Education on waste prevention is an imperative. #FeedOurFuture has shown how important reaching those in desperate need of food and nutrition is, and I feel proud that I am part of this mission to end world hunger.”
Dia Mirza – Actor, Producer | UN Environment Goodwill Ambassador
“It is an honour to support the #FeedOurFuture campaign. As an organisation, the World Food Programme has been able to provide a platform to raise awareness for many who do not have access to food and nutrition. It is an unfortunate reality that so many children do not have access to proper food and nutrition. This must change! It is important that we are all able to work together to bring about this change. Even the simple act of sharing a meal is a catalyst that can spark change. Feed those in need and #FeedOurFuture.”
R Balki – filmmaker & former advertising agency chairman
“I wanted to join the fight against hunger so that children across India and the world will never have to go hungry. You would never let your children go hungry so why should we let that be the case for others? As a film maker, I know first-hand the power of cinema to inspire and engage people. The fact that the WFP’s #FeedOurFuture campaign will be screening across the country makes me sure that we really can make a difference. The premise is simple and striking – by denying access to nutritious and sufficient food to a generation of children, we can’t deny the future world of the many doctors, scientists, filmmakers and change makers we could be in the making, simply because they do not have access to food, something that should be their unconditional right.”
Gladys Kyotungire, Advocate, UN WFP
“When I saw the casting call for #FeedOurFuture, I was captivated by the theme. The idea of allowing children to fulfil their potential resonates with a campaign close to my heart, which is about saving the lives of children who are victims of ‘child sacrifice’ in my home country, Uganda. Just like child sacrifice, hunger and starvation are things no child should have to suffer. This is not just a film: it’s someone’s reality.”
Ankit Kawatra – Founder Feeding India, United Nations Young Leader for SDGs
“Despite living in the 21st century, millions of people in India and around the world are in desperate need of food and nutrition – something of which many of us take for granted The World Food Programme shares our vision of reaching those who are furthest behind, and the #FeedOurFuture campaign will bring this vision to millions across the world. We are now able to reach communities far and wide like never before, ensuring that if we work together, we can move one step closer to ending world hunger.”
