New Delhi (UNI) Filmmaker Shyam Ramsay, known for cult horror films like ‘Puraani Haveli’, ‘Veerana’ passed away in Mumbai on Wednesday. He was 67.
The funeral of the filmmaker, who was suffering from pneumonia and had been admitted in a hospital in Mumbai, will be held at Ville Parle crematorium later in the day.
Ramsay was one of the seven Ramsay Brothers who were active in Indian cinema throughout the 1970s and the 1980s. Shyam was considered the main artiste and head of this group. They produced a number of horror movies such as ‘Darwaza’, ‘Purana Mandir’ and ‘Veerana’.
